Logo - MemphisBluesMi.com
I thought it would be interesting for Michigan to be made into a guitar. The pick guards forming the letter "M" for Michigan was a happy accident. Originaly I was only going to put in one pick guard but after a while of looking at it, I realized the pick guard shape could be half of a "M"
This was created in Adobe Illustrator. The string detail is made from a custom expanded pattern brush. The shapes of Michigan, tuning pegs, and fret markers are clipped gradient meshes.
Graphic Design/Website - Wiley4Sheriff.org
Serving as the graphic artist for Tim Wiley's Sheriff Campaign, I created the candidate's logo, flyers, newspaper advertisements, and billboard.
As webmaster, I designed, built, and maintained the candidate's website. The website included information on the candidate and his platform, allowed visitors to sign-up to volunteer or to donate, and advertised upcoming events. The site also featured a behind-the-scenes MySQL database that allowed the candidate to track volunteers and exchange calendar dates with the campaign staff.
Every shape is a mid-tone color with highlights and shadows to give the image a realistic look.
Inspired by the September 2001 Wired cover.

In the upper right is the Locker Room Saloon on M59 and Van Dyke. Moving counter clockwise is a drawing of Coco, the sign language talking ape. Beneath that is an iMac because I have a thing for Apple. The final drawing is of my left hand because I'm right handed.

Website - anchorbay.misd.net
Horrified by the former webmaste's inadequate and outdated website I felt compelled to redesign the Anchor Bay School District website. I reorganized the content into a functional, W3C standards compliant site. We now have a consistent clean look on every page with an intuitive user interface.
